“Arriving” is an invitation to slow down and truly land in your body.
Over eight weeks, we journey together through somatic movement and Contact Improvisation—not to perform, but to feel. Not to “dance better,” but to become the dance.
Is this for you?
Maybe your life has been full: work, pregnancy, care, responsibility…and your body has been waiting patiently for space and attention.
Or perhaps you already move, dance, or practice regularly, and you feel the call to soften, deepen, and reconnect with movement from the inside out.
No previous experience is required. You don’t need to be fit or flexible—only curious and ready to arrive.
The Practice:
We use Contact Improvisation as our primary doorway, supported by floor work, somatic awareness, and functional anatomy.
We begin close to the earth—rolling, yielding, and awakening the pathways of the body. From there, we gradually travel through space, learning to lean, share weight, and respond to gravity and momentum.
The Weekly Rhythm
Each three-hour session is designed to build a foundation of safety and curiosity:
* Somatic Awakening: Practices to settle the nervous system and build body awareness.
* Floor Work: Learning to roll, push, and transition with fluid ease and joy.
* Contact impro Fundamentals: The art of touch, shared balance, and effortless lifting.
* Applied Anatomy: Understanding biomechanics to move more naturally.
* Improvisation: Creative structures to explore space and presence.
